Yesterday’s “first” may have been childish, but today’s was worse.
We spent a good half hour or so watching baby (!) programmes on various channels on the tele. There literally is a channel called Baby TV… F. was more interested in the remote control and our frantic giggling than in the actual programme, luckily.
The show was all weird characters making odd noises and repeating their strange rhyming names over and over again. The oddest bit was three characters inside a zeppelin-like spaceship (which made darting sounds as its propeller turned), drinking colourful drinks through straws ridiculously loudly. Very disturbing yet funny. The people who made this must have been so high!
I cannot believe just how many different things specifically for babies there are on TV in England. Whatever happened to bedtime stories and made-up songs?
