Today, we visited the Olympic Park in London. What an impressive sight! We went with a friend who saw it during the Olympics and I have to say it sounds like an amazing experience.
Spring is coming! The sun is shining lots, birds’ songs greet me when I open the windows in the morning and the first flowers are in full bloom.

Today was the most beautiful early spring day. We get these sometimes in Munich. This may have been the actual onset of spring or it may have been just a little bit of sunshine to tide us over another one or two months of snow and ice. One way or another, I wrapped F. up and spent pretty much the entire day outside.
After quite a varied week, I thought I deserved a lazy Sunday and some family time. This didn’t leave me with too much time for my “first”, which therefore ended up – you called it – being a culinary one.
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are gray you’ll never know dear, how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine away.

I got F. ready this morning, intending to get a lot of chores done today. But one look out the window and another at the thermometer made me decide to be spontaneous and get out into the sunshine. Fresh air does him a world of good and I am like some rare animal that feeds on sunlight. A few hours of sunshine can lift my mood for an entire week. Continue reading
